"Under the Microscope"

Everyone knows that science is a vital part of the world, constantly changing the way we have lived throughout the years. From advancing technology and medicine, to helping understand ourselves and the world around us in a deeper sense, research is the reason humans are as advanced as we are. “Under the Microscope” strives to show the beauty of science and research, while also providing an inside look into the work that goes on behind the scenes. Society
only sees the data and statistics that scientists gather from their work, but many have never seen the source of that information. The student researchers in this lab run trials on rodents to learn about the long term effects of alcohol and drug use in humans. Through this series, you are able to get a closer look into the essential research that is happening right on Christopher Newport University’s campus.
